Dr. Virginia Ramos, MD
Dr. Virginia Ramos is a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in adult mental health, offering a highly personalized and discerning approach to psychiatric care. Her work is defined by clinical precision, emotional attunement, and a deep commitment to understanding the full complexity of each individual she treats.
Dr. Ramos completed her psychiatry residency and fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Rochester Medical Center, where she also served as a Senior Instructor in the Department of Psychiatry within crisis services. Her background in academic and emergency psychiatry informs a calm, steady, and highly skilled clinical presence—even in complex or high-acuity situations.
She currently serves as Medical Director at The Family Counseling Center and provides outpatient psychiatric care across multiple states, including New York, Oregon, and Washington. Her clinical work spans a wide range of conditions, with particular expertise in mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, ADHD, and complex presentations in children and adolescents.
Dr. Ramos is known for her ability to integrate evidence-based treatment with a nuanced understanding of developmental, relational, and cultural factors. She works collaboratively with patients and families to develop thoughtful, individualized treatment plans, creating a space that is both structured and deeply human—where patients feel understood, supported, and guided toward lasting stability.
